Summary
The Manager, Tacoma Port will directly supervise the facing port processing operations for GLOVIS America at inbound harbor or rail sites ensuring adherence to GLOVIS' sales objectives, KPIs, and quality standards. This position will direct and manage all operations with overall responsibilities for safety, quality, inventory control, and production. This person will identify, analyze, and resolve problems or issues with customers, clients, and employees.
Responsibilities
Port Processing Operations Meet customer's daily tender targets
Operations to tender vehicles to support customers wholesale goals, per the monthly Operations Plan
Ensure vendor is properly managing vehicle aging in accordance of customer requirements
Ensure vendor meets and exceed customer QC audit objectives
Manage all aspects of vehicle processing and shipment
Ensure processor contract compliance
Provide operational direction to meet monthly/annual objectives
Daily on-site supervision of port processor and carrier functions to ensure proper handling, release and timely shipment of vehicles
Oversee Vehicle Carrier (Rail/Truck) Performance and Compliance with GLOVIS policy and procedures
Monitor Quality Audit Points during all phases of vehicle processing
Monitor Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) and conduct periodic audits
Conduct Monthly/Quarterly Audits to ensure processor compliance with GLOVIS' policies and procedures
Oversee Port Service Campaigns from launch to completion ensuring the proper services have been completed and reported
Damage & Inventory Management Reduce internal PIO damages and missing inventory
Monitor Port Installed Option (PIO) Part Inventories to ensure adequate on hand balances are available to meet production requirements
Ensure part shortages are reported in a timely manner and inventory variances are resolved expeditiously
Coordinate and oversee PIO Part Installation training to ensure training is comprehensive and productive
Manage fleet on-time delivery as required by customer
Other Duties as Assigned Communicating daily operations to HQ

Skills
Intermediate Proficiency in Excel
Proficient PC Skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc)
Experience compiling reports and presenting to Management
Experience with forecasting
Experience working in SAP
Experience working in a Yard Management System or other ITMS
Education & Experience
HS Diploma/GED Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred
7 - 10 Years of Direct Experience in Port Operations and/or Finished Vehicle Logistics Required 8 - 13 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
1 Year of Indirect Experience Required 3 Years of Indirect Experience Preferred
1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required 3 - 5 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
