Overview

Position Summary

The IT Security Analyst will be the primary resource for day-to-day security operations within the organization.  This position will also assist with other security related projects or programs and be called on to assist with other IT related duties.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responds to, review, and resolves or escalate security events.

Assists with the planning and execution of the Security Awareness Training program.

Assists with the authoring and revision of Information Security Policies and related documents (e.g. standards, processes, procedures, guidelines, etc.).

Assists with other information security related projects and programs as needed.

Serves as backup to certain roles when growing demands arise.

May require after hours work in response to security events or other security related projects.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Security+ are desireable

At least three years’ experience combined in at least 3 of the following domains: IT security, compliance and risk management, OS Architecture and Support, incident handling, security auditing, security awareness education, intrusion detection and response, vulnerability management.

Thorough understanding of Information Security principles, frameworks, as well as industry standards & practices. Exp[ereiecne with SOX, JSOX, ISO 27001, CTPAT, or NIST a plus

Understanding of how to detect, contain, and resolve security events.

Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewall, EDR, EPP, and DNS filtering. Experience with Cisco security suites, Trend Micro , Palo Alto, Fortigate a plus.

Strong understating of with Microsoft operating systems, Linux operating systems, Microsoft Azure, and mobile devices. Experience with application security a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.

Demonstrated commitment to protecting IT assets from cyberattack through education, work experience, internship or equivalent.

Ability to drive long distances and/or travel overnight as required.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs

Ability to work in cold/hot/dusty/loud environment

Ability to receive and understand direction from supervision and management

Essential Job Functions

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Work overtime as required/ assigned.

Travel overnight as required.

Work cooperatively with others.

Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.

Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule using Office 365, ServiceNow, PowerBi or other

Review and analyze data and information concerning security events, compliance and auditing reports, and security initiatives. Participate in and supply inputs to these activities.

Plan, prioritize and monitor information security

Complete [or oversee the completion of ] assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.

Ability to work shifts of at least (8) hour, and occasionally longer, (5) days per week
