The Role
Margarita Mix Hollywood, a FotoKem company, is an innovative voiceover and ADR facility steeped in Hollywood history. The Senior Audio Maintenance Engineer is seasoned with a solid understanding of technical engineering and maintenance experience for the needs of a professional multi-room audio recording facility.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Expertise in configuration and support of Pro Tools Software (version 2018 and up) in multi-room environments
● Expertise in configuration and support of AVID S6 consoles, ProTools HD I/O, SYNC I/O, DANTE Audio over IP
● P rovide Atmos hardware and software support, Atmos workflow, RMU hardware and render software
● A bility to build and manage DADMAN profiles and settings.
● I nstallation of hardware cards, firmware updates, troubleshoot wiring and cabling for ProTools MTRX
● Sonnet PCI Chassis: Set up, configuration, and hardware support of ProTools based chassis
● Ability to monitor and support AVID NEXIS storage for audi o / video workflows
● Remote support: Source Connect, Zoom, Session Link Pro, ipDTL, Evercast, Skype, ISDN
● Maintenance, setup, and support for multiple audio recording rooms and facility / machine room infrastru cture
● Basic IT / network support to audio engineers and administrative staff
● File Delivery Methods: FTP, Aspera: Management of Rumpus FTP software
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Support of Avid Symphony and Media composer systems, Mac OS, Windows, and Linux Systems
● Install / manage Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, After Effects)
● Ability to manage and/or assist with configuration of network switches and systems
● Ability to monitor and support storage hardware (Stornext SAN and NAS knowledge Preferred)
● Ability to install and manage Black Magic hardware and software (Resolve Mac or Linux based)
● Support remote editorial workflows, logins and setups (VPN, HP RGS, etc.)
EXPERIENCE, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
● 5-10 years of experience in a professional post production audio environment
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● Detail-oriented, problem solving capabilities
● Professional demeanor in supporting artists and high-end clients, often in live session environments
● Able to work independently, project manage, and communicate and plan / schedule with management
● Recording Studio environment in Hollywood, on-site required. Ability to support remotely when needed.
● Physical Activities include, but are not limited to, standing, walking, listening, talking, machine room installation
● May lift up to 40lbs.
