**_Hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Technician (EHS) to work with a CDMO focusing on conscious science for sustainable ingredients used within personal care and household products!_**
**Location:** **Charlotte, NC**
**Schedule:** **M-F Normal business hours**
**Pay:** **$75K-$85K DOE**
**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
+ Stay updated on new and changing regulations and implement necessary changes to company policies and procedures.
+ Conduct regular EHS risk assessments and audits.
+ Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to minimize accidents and injuries.
+ Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
+ Ensure all staff are adequately trained in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
+ Lead investigations into EHS incidents and near-misses.
+ Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive action plans to prevent recurrence.
+ Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and initiatives, including emergency response plans, hazardous materials management, and waste reduction strategies.
+ Track and report on key EHS metrics.
+ Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
+ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS practices. Lead initiatives to enhance the company’s EHS culture and performance.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, training records, and incident reports.
**_Qualifications:_**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
+ 3 years of experience in an EHS role, 1-2 years of experience within Chemical manufacturing.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001
+ Experience with Process Safety Management
+ Experience Wastewater Treatment
