About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Strategic Communications to lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and enhance its visibility, reputation, and engagement with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of communication, including media and public relations, internal and emergency communications, reputation and issues management, and the promotion of major initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the public image of the organization and requires a strategic approach to media positioning and crisis management. The Executive Director will also be tasked with fostering relationships with both internal and external partners to support the organization's growth and collaboration efforts.Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in strategic communications. The role demands exceptional written and oral communication skills, the ability to craft effective and error-free messages for different audiences, and a track record of maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and senior leadership. Experience in media relations, crisis communication, and a strong understanding of the higher education landscape are essential. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, capable of managing a team, and adept at working in a fast-paced environment where new challenges require continuous learning and improvement.
