ABOUT GSD:

Global Support and Development (GSD) is a humanitarian organization whose mission is to rapidly respond to disasters in collaboration with at-risk communities and support them to prepare for future disasters. GSD values collaboration and seeks opportunities to amplify the work of others in-country, both in preparation for and in response to disasters. By integrating its team’s diverse skill sets and resources into local responses, GSD can provide rapid response assistance to affected communities in coordination with regional and country-level partners. This incredible organization also works to build local capacity through community-led preparedness initiatives. GSD’s priority Area of Engagement is currently Latin America and the Caribbean, with targeted support to the South Pacific (with future increases in operations expected for 2024 and beyond).

ABOUT CHARLOTTE, NC:

Charlotte, NC, is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S.! For city dwellers flocking from larger hubs like New York, Charlotte offers a sparkling skyline and a surplus of things to do (think: brewery tours, ball games, festivals, and museums) but with blissfully lower rents and real estate prices. Charlotte even has a slightly lower cost of living than the national average. Living in Charlotte, NC, means living in a mid-size southern city known for its financial industry, multiple professional sports teams and stadiums, delicious (and evolving) food scene, an abundance of parks, and a total of more than 200 neighborhoods— perfect for young singles and families alike. It also means lush, green lawns and beautiful tree-lined streets.
