What You Will Do
The Help Desk Technician reports to the Network and Technical Support Manager and is responsible for overseeing the entire Help Desk function to ensure end users are receiving the appropriate support. This includes implementing all procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user help requests, including the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of Help Desk functions. The Help Desk Technician will also contribute to problem resolution by giving in-person, hands-on support to end users at the desktop level.
This position is always on the go, and you'll be expected to roam between our various buildings on campus to handle hardware and software issues. Our work relies on technology to communicate, track and report on participant care so every call is vital to the business.

Salary Range In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $27.31 and $44.48 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):
One (1) year Help Desk level support including experience with trouble-shooting, formatting, installation, updates, basic desktop support.
Excellent administrative and customer service skills in desktop support; experience with IT terminology, hardware, and software.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize and work under pressure Must be able to push, pull, lift, bend, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be licensed and have the ability and skill to drive cars, vans, or other vehicles.
Must be able to handle or manipulate objects, tools, and operate controls.
Able to crawl under desks to access wires.
Must be able to stand for one hour at a time at a server keyboard, tech bench, or in a phone closet.
Must be able to reach for stacked products, store and retrieve equipment on high shelves.
Must be able to travel (drive) up to 50% of position.
Must be able to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
Preferred B.A. Degree in computer science or business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
