Nutritionist (Senior Dietician) - Indiana Medicaid_

The Nutritionist (Senior Dietician) is dedicated to the Contractor's Indiana Medicaid lines. He/she designs meal plans that alter and regulate patients' nutrition based upon medical condition and individual nutritional needs. The Nutritionist (Senior Dietician) works on assignments that involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

+ Utilizes scientific principles and methods in the study of nutrition and dietetics, applying these results to influence the wider environment affecting food intake and eating behavior.

+ Serve as a resource for Humana's care management and service coordination teams and have duties that include reviewing care plans for members who are on medically prescribed diets, receiving gastric tube feeding, or experiencing weight loss.

+ Identify members who are at nutritional risk in accordance with medical standards and provide intervention recommendations to the Contractor's care teams.

+ Partner with Dental Manager.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or similar health related field.

+ Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the commission on Dietetic Registration License in Indiana.

+ Five (5) or more years' experience in dietetics or health coaching.

+ Possess knowledge of the legal responsibilities including all state and federal laws and regulations governing nutrition practice.

+ Prior experience in Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) or with the program population and experience with gastric tube feeding, weight loss, and prescribed diets.

+ Must be able to travel in the state of Indiana as needed.

+ Ability to work in Humana Healthy Horizons in Indiana office location for three (3) days per week _(see "Additional Information" section for more details)._

+ This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

+ This role is part of Humana's driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master's degree in Dietetics or related field.

+ Certified Diabetic Educator.

**Additional Information**

+ **Workstyle:** Hybrid Office - This means the associate will work 3 days per week in Humana Healthy Horizons office location in Indianapolis, IN and 2 days per week remote.

+ **Typical Workdays and Hours:** Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).

+ **Travel:** Minimal travel potentially for face-to-face field interactions with providers, members, and their families.

**Work at Home Internet Statement**

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$57,700 - $79,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
