General Summary
This role requires overseeing the development and implementation of security processes, technologies, and services to support business expansion and enhance security offerings.
Supervision Level
Reports to Manager, Security.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop processes, procedures, technologies, and services in support of existing business footprint with focus on expanding service offerings.
Identify, develop, and maintain strategic security application and hardware vendor partners in support of Security Integrator business development and certification.
Develop and execute security team training curriculum, including strategic conferences, vendor-specific training, and NERC/CIP and other relevant training requirements.
Facilitate cross-functional cooperation between dependent tasks and projects, identifies risks/issues, develops mitigation solutions.
Lead project teams in developing cost-effective electronic security solutions and implementations to include risk analysis, requirements, design, engineering, programming, integration, and post-implementation support.
Provide security implementation reviews, identify lessons learned, integrate into process and procedures.
Prepares and negotiates contract terms and/or modifications and recommends approvals.
Communicate with program stakeholders on status, risks, issues, funding, and budget management.
Maintain compliance with contract law and prepare supporting documentation for regulatory boards and other government agencies.
Manages related workforce planning.
Responds timely to critical, emergency, and/or ad-hoc requests.
Availability during emergency events that require immediate response, which can include nights and weekends (civil unrest, system failures and/or outages, sever weather events, etc.).
Implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets.
Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps.
Trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergencies.
Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures.
Participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues.
Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast of all security-related information, directives, and events.
Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies.
Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Ensures project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets.
Has full authority over personnel actions.
Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
