As a Sales Director leading the Midmarket organization, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage an organization of sales leaders & sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, coaching and mentoring the sales leaders, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. You will work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to align sales objectives with overall business goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years of proven success mentoring and coaching teams selling software or SaaS to meet or exceed sales targets
Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to use sales data to drive decision-making, set territories, and distribute quotas equitably using multiple relevant data sources
Set the strategic direction & vision annually addressing the largest gaps leading to continuous improvement and consistent quota achievement
Coach managers to lead critical initiatives within their teams to support driving the annual strategy
Aligning the organization strategy to the corporate strategy
Coaching leaders to address conflicts and increase cross-functional partnership with SDRs, CSMs, and other key stakeholders
Results-oriented and target-driven mindset.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. MBA, preferred.
30-40% travel required
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
Set clear performance expectations and sales targets for team members and monitor their progress.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging teamwork and a customer-centric mindset.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities and potential risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives and product development plans.
Set sales quotas and targets for individuals and the team, and monitor performance against these goals.
Sales Operations and Process Improvement:
Implement and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective measures to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and sales results.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$122,200.00 - $253,800.00
