ResponsibilitiesCandidate will have experience in operating, maintaining and deploying voice and IP data networks within medium to large campus environments. Systems Administrator – Senior engineers must be able to develop LAN/WAN designs, setup router/switch configurations, design/configure routing protocols, and set up IP subnet schemes. Systems Administrator - Senior engineers must be able to exhibit strong communication, collaboration, as well as time and project management skills. This is an operational position that focuses on customer-facing (production) infrastructure.
Have knowledge of and experience in working with DoD IA and Cyber Security practices, policies as they apply to data network and voice technologies.
Have experience in O& M of fiber optic and copper cable plant, including inside and outside infrastructure, and be knowledgeable in BICSI standards.
Have experience in ACAS, STIG, Server Upgrades, Thin Clients, Cisco routers and switches
Participate in the implementation of agreed upon solutions and strategies.
Troubleshoot technology issues, using various internal and external resources.
Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems.
Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects.
Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
Follow policies and procedures for change and incident management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently as required.
Qualifications
IAW Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1301 – Computer Security (COMPUSEC),paragraph 8.14 and the procedures established by the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) ProgramManagement Office (PMO). Serve as the primary and alternate LRA for LAAFB and use Remedyto track LRA requests
Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.
