About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Medical Officer to provide medical oversight, direction, and leadership to the medical staff within the Role 2 medical facility program. The successful candidate will assist the Chief Medical Officer in a wide range of responsibilities, including the development of administrative policies, approval of medical practice procedures, and participation in the planning of new medical services. They will also ensure the quality and compliance of medical practices, participate in training and educational programs, and serve as a clinical leader for the organization. In the absence of the CMO, the Deputy CMO will take on the role of Medical Director for the EMS service and coordinate with the EMS Lead for skill validation and protocols.Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, with clinical experience within the past five years, and be board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine. A current and unrestricted medical license, as well as BLS, PALS, ACLS, and preferably ATLS certifications, are required. The role demands executive-level interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a matrix environment, and experience in a remote or challenging medical setting. Preference will be given to candidates with experience on a military site or working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor. The Deputy CMO will also be responsible for maintaining the Code of Conduct of medical practice, medical record-keeping, infection control standards, and emergency response preparedness.
