A member of the Marketing Team, the Graphic Designer – Social Media combines art and technology to communicate ideas through images and the layout of digital and print assets, with a specialization in social media platforms.

As the sole creative focused on elevating our social media strategy and execution, the individual selected for this role will have the opportunity to develop and implement the voice of the business on a national level; and help shape how we communicate ourselves to our customers through social media platforms and technologies. Position responsibilities:

Social Media:

Create and execute monthly social media design and strategy.

Evaluates and communicates the results of social media campaigns when completed.

Maintain records, social media analytics and report weekly status on all assigned tasks to Marketing Manager

Ability to learn and become subject matter expert on Johnstone Supply’s social media and listing management software.

Maintains awareness of latest trends, technologies, and emerging platforms in social media marketing and helps leverage them for brand development and growth.

Graphic Design: Work with Johnstone corporate staff to produce images and collateral that maintain our brand aesthetic.

Develop graphics and visual images, logos, artwork or other print and digital assets that help sell supplier products and promotions that will increase distributor sales.

Collaborate and develop layouts for social media, brochures, ads, flyers, and other print materials.

Present designs to Marketing Manager, customers, and other stakeholders, and makes revisions based on feedback received.

Demonstrate Project Management discipline and owning tasks from requirements gathering to completion.

Demonstrate a willingness and positive attitude to fine-tune artwork to achieve the best possible results.

Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A). from a 4-year college or university preferred; At least 5 years of experience in graphic design for both web and print; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially InDesign and Photoshop.

Knowledge of multimedia design and experience building files for both print and digital.

Knowledge of design principles and techniques, including typography, color theory and branding knowledge (layout, grids, graphic fundamentals, proportion, perspective, composition, hierarchy, typography, color theory, patterns).

Working knowledge of the HVAC/R industry and the relationship between products and market segments is preferred, but not required for this role.

Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep track of details, including driving team members toward a schedule or deadline.

Ability to provide and create an impressive portfolio that reflects knowledge and execution of good graphic design templating.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and effectively developing timelines.

Skill in troubleshooting and resolving unexpected issues.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on attention to detail

Ability to clearly express business ideas in writing.
