Job Description and Duties

The Environmental Chemistry Laboratory (ECL) is seeking candidates with great organizational and communication skills and are passionate about protecting the communities and environment from toxic chemicals.

As an Environmental Scientist you will have the opportunity to:

* Act as a scientific liaison for laboratory services* Use scientific expertise and resources within the laboratory to respond to routine questions* Identify DTSC programs needs and concerns and submits them to the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) and provides scientific information to the appropriate laboratory or program staff* Use an internal tracking spreadsheet to monitors the progress of sample analysis within the laboratory and provides status updates to programs* Submit final reports to requesters and files all reports
