SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for the space industry to lead civil and commercial business development across our spacecraft product lines. This position will be responsible for shaping and securing contracts and cooperative agreements in response to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other solicitations from civil government customers, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as well as commercial customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead strategy and capture for civil space sales pursuits, including NASA’s exploration, space operations, space technology, and science mission portfolios. In particular, lead sales related to Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS), Launch Services Program (LSP), and Tipping Point programs, among others.
Lead strategy and capture for international and commercial spacecraft sales pursuits, such as payloads on Blue Ghost lunar lander and Elytra space utility vehicle missions.
As Capture Manager, coordinate proposal development with the Proposal Manager, Program Technical Lead, and Strategy and present proposal strategy, pricing, and negotiation strategy to company leadership. Coordinate with the Proposal Manager to ensure compliance with solicitation documents and timely delivery to the customer.
Lead customer engagement, shaping, and development of targeted marketing and sales strategies, collateral materials, and communications to NASA, Congress, commercial customers, and other stakeholders in coordination with Government Relations and Marketing and Communications.
Participate in programmatic reviews and customer engagements for civil and commercial space-related missions, programs, and products.
Coordinate development of business plans, pricing recommendations, and product offerings with Strategy.
Track civil and commercial space programs, budgets, and policies in coordination with Government Relations.
Participate in action reviews (AARs) for each proposal to document lessons learned to enhance proposal win rate and ease of preparation.
Report capture status and updates to leadership on a periodic and timely basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
10+ yrs. marketing, sales, or government relations experience
Degree or professional experience in a technical field or equivalent experience, with ability to support technical proposals
Knowledge of NASA human spaceflight, science, and space technology programs, federal budgeting process, and
Knowledge of government proposal management with experience influencing and capturing government opportunities including proposal support and response to government solicitations
Demonstrated track record of creative problem solving and program development
Excellent communications skills, both oral and writing
Excellent organizational skills
U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information
