Our client is looking for a Pipeline Engineer who will evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to various engineering tasks and is capable of functioning as Engineer for execution of all pipeline discipline work for mid-sized and large projects.
PE Requested!
Must know API 1102 calculations (ask if they use 6ft or 4ft depth to calculate)
Must have experience with HDD designs
Must have API 5L experience
Must know fundamentals of how pipe is made
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates and schedules(EPC) for pipeline projects
Engineering calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations
Hydrotest plans and calculations
Hydrotest witnessing
Road and railroad crossing stress calculations
HDD stress calculations
Pipeline route assessment
Alignment sheets
Pipe material familiarity with specifications and standards
Interacts with other engineers, and directs designers and drafters to ensure project completion
Responsible for the technical content and quality of the work, and adherence to schedules for the assigned task or project
Selects and applies engineering principles and concepts
Responsible for reporting on work progress
Frequently interacts with clients, vendors and subcontractors
Responsible for following corporate safety protocols
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates intermediate ability to work with various engineering software packages in standalone or network configurations
Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in technical subjects and interdisciplinary design processes
Ability to act with little supervision and sometimes works as discipline lead
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
Five plus years’ plus related engineering experience
Good knowledge of DOT 192 (ASME B31.8) and 195 (ASME B31.4)
FERC experience a plus but not required
Alignment sheets, HDD calculations,1102 calculations, buoyancy calculations required
Good communication skills required
PE Requested
C02, Hydrogen experience is a plus
