The Enhanced Family Foster Care Supervisor supervises staff and cases in the enhanced family foster care program. Includes overall supervision and coaching of assigned case planners to ensure child welfare and administrative work as required by agency, city and state guidelines. Ensures that all children and families receive appropriate services, designed to meet childrens need and achieve permanency, and that all compliance-related requirements are met.
Salary Range: $71,400.00 - $74,900.00
Responsibilities:

Ensures that all children and families receive appropriate services, designed to meet childrens need and achieve permanency, and that all compliance-related requirements are met.
Position Description:
Clinical Oversight Provide supervision with professional coaching model and supervisor case reviews for case planning team Responsible for the overall administrative and child welfare supervision of cases provide consultation to case planners on assessing for safety and risk and crisis intervention. Collaborate with medical, mental health, and model consultants on all evidence-based model interventions being implemented in clinical services Collaborate closely with Socio-Therapist Supervisor. Participate in case conferences, treatment team meetings, family team conferences, and meetings with clients, foster parents and other stakeholders as needed. Participate in staff meetings, supervision/coaching, trainings (including supervisor academy and leadership forums) and strategic planning activities. Administrative and Management Oversight Review all FASPs, Progress Notes, Court Reports, correspondence and other documentation, ensuring quality and timely submission. Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of all forms and documents required by ACS and NYF. Maintain written supervisory records. Compile and provide regular report updates to QPC, PQA and other foster care support documents. Job Responsibilities Attend court as required. Provide coverage for case planners during PTO, event of a schedule conflict or vacancy. Participate in weekend on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies to ensure 24/7 emergency coverage for families. Responsible for completing and submitting staff evaluations; resolve and address staff issues; participate in hiring, disciplinary actions. Support Assistant Vice President and Regional Administrative Manager with facility issues and supervisor on site coverage. Other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $71,400.00 - $74,900.00

Qualifications:
Masters in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or Mental Health Counseling required. Preferred Experience: 2 years of supervisory experience preferred. Bilingual English / Spanish preferred. Foster care direct service experience preferred. Preferred Knowledge: Knowledge of child welfare, abuse and neglect Management and supervision theory and application Basic understanding of juvenile justice issues Basic understanding of the local and national childrens mental health systems issues and trends In-depth understanding of KEEP, PTC, TST, and its philosophy and practice. Other Requirements: Proficient in casework practice, service planning and risk assessment skills. Ability to manage, prioritize and accomplish tasks and goals. Strong leadership, team work and communication skills. Good advocacy abilities. Supervise Social Work Interns. Computer literate, knowledge of connections a plus. Preferred Experience:
1- 2 years of relevant experience in evidence-based services, preventive settings, Academic/mentoring/coaching, and/or school based mental health services
2-3 years of accumulated experience (internships through post-graduate) providing direct services to youth and their families in their homes and/or communities
Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Data entry systems (e.g. Connections, Electronic Health Record).
Excellent communication skills required.
Experience in managing direct service providers who engage with the identified populations or similar population in high-risk court-involved youth either in Family Court or Adult Court, Child-Welfare programs.
An understanding and commitment to complying with the New York State Central Register of Abuse and Neglect protocol (requiring staff to comply with promulgated requirements to report any suspected abuse, maltreatment, or neglect of any child).
Experience with and willingness to work with culturally diverse population, computer literacy, able to research current information on medical, social and legal issues.
Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies
Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance
Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youths natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood)

Crisis Intervention
A thorough understanding of existing federal and state ethical guidelines and laws concerning situation that may occur in crisis treatment. He or she must also be familiar with the organizational and procedural guidelines (i.e. agency mission, culture, administrative structure) of relevant collateral agencies (i.e. juvenile or family court, probate court, social services agencies).
