About Client: A well-established and respected legal practice based in Southern California. They practice Special Education; they advocate for children with disabilities to ensure they receive the education and services they are legally entitled to receive. They are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of clients and their families.
Job Description: They are seeking a full-time Attorney to represent children with special needs. They will accept applications from newly admitted attorneys. In this role, you will attend IEPs, mediations, hearings, write complaints and be a crucial member of our legal team.
This is a hybrid role with 75% being remote and 25% being travel to the office and client meetings (local to area)
Responsibilities
Facilitate virtual or telephonic client intake meetings
Attend Individualized Educational Program (IEP) meetings as needed
Communicate with various stakeholders, such as school districts, parents and other attorneys via telephone and email, as needed
Attend client meetings, mediations, hearings and resolution sessions, as needed
Perform legal research, client document review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Draft various documents pertaining to special education: complaints, memorandums and motions
Maintain client relationships with regular touch base meetings and ensure client records are complete and accurate using a file management system
Interface professionally with all members of the firm
File all electronic documents as needed
Prepare case analysis as needed
Prepare for each phase of litigation in a thorough and detailed manner, as needed
Assist Attorneys with evolving tasks and responsibilities, as needed
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active member of the California State Bar.
Excellent written, communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated legal team.
Must be willing to travel to the Inland Empire

Salary range of $125,000 to $175,00 annually, DOE
