**Position Purpose:**
Transporting patients to and from treatment areas via wheelchair, stretchers, or beds. Maintains transport equipment including O2 cylinders and regulators. Requires lifting, pushing, and pulling stretchers and wheelchairs.
**What you will do:**
+ Transport patients to and from nursing care units.
+ Maintain hospital Infection Control policies.
+ Supports the hospital Safety initiatives.
+ Responds to Transport Trip requests within 5 minutes from dispatch.
+ Maintains a pleasant and professional attitude and appearance.
+ Identifies self when addressing patients, families, visitors, co-workers, medical professionals, and the public.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, with ability to understand and speak English at a level that allows for the safe and efficient performance of the job.
+ Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
+ Knowledge of using slide boards to move patients from bed to stretchers preferred.
