Position Overview: The Director of Data, Assessment and Educational Technology (Ed. Tech) owns the data and assessment strategy and systems at DCI, in partnership with the CAO, principals and other Education Leaders. This role also manages data compliance, instructional data analysis, and internal and external communication of data. Alongside the CAO and principals, this person works to build the staff capacity to collect, understand, analyze and respond to instructional, compliance and organization-wide survey data. The Director of Data, Assessment and Ed. Tech also directly supervises the Data and Assessment Coordinator.
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 (Starting salary is determined by education and years of relevant experience)
Qualifications:
Applicant will have a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent.
Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
Teaching experience required.
Experience with a leadership role in a school required.
Excellent excel and data analysis skills as well as building data dashboards required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in a school environment.
Comfortable in a Mac environment.
Experience with professional development for teachers and leaders in data analysis.
Essential Attributes:
Educational Data Management and Analysis
Build and maintain systems of data collection across school teams including dashboards, calendars, trackers, etc.
Build and use data systems to proactively report data to instructional leaders for use in making instructional decisions.
Lead the implementation of our data cycle protocol and calendar
Manage a team member/team in running and analyzing data to prepare for team level, department level and schoolwide meetings.
Analyze data and create presentations for the Senior Leadership Team and the board in alignment with DCI’s Five Year Strategic Plan and ongoing focus areas.
Use analysis of instructional and compliance related data to make policy and planning recommendations to the Senior Leadership team.
Provide professional development for educational staff in order to increase their skills in analyzing and responding to instructional data.
Partner with the Student Support Team (SST) team and grade level teams with data relevant to interventions and students with formal supports.
Assist with student and staff culture survey implementation, and analysis for reporting.
Prepare and analyze data related to PCSB standards, OSSE requirements, and the DCI Strategic Plan.
Report out any required educational data points to OSSE, PCSB, and any other governing bodies
Supervise the management of SIS (eSchools Plus) and other data systems as needed, reconciling errors between systems.
Prepare and analyze data for key projects and stakeholders
Manage the contracts for all Ed Tech partnerships and platforms.
Deliver/supervise the delivery of professional development for teachers on Ed Tech tools.
Collect and analyze data from Ed Tech platforms to be used by Ed Leaders to make instructional decisions.
Assessment
Supervise the coordination of organization wide standardized assessments including CAPE, STAMP, MAP, PSAT, SAT, and ACCESS
Ensure data security protocols for all standardized assessments
Supervise the training and support of all staff in completion of testing and makeup testing
Analyze and report all data points as required by OSSE and PCSB.
