Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our fast-growing EdTech startup. As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution and delivery of our technical projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the world, offering a unique opportunity to work in a global environment.
Responsibilities:
Project Management: Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, and execution.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, and product managers, throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables.
Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed on time.
Risk Management: Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners, ensuring timely updates and transparency throughout the project.
Quality Assurance: Define and enforce quality standards, ensuring that projects meet established criteria and adhere to best practices.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
Remote Team Management: Foster a positive and productive remote work culture, supporting team members in achieving their goals and maintaining high levels of motivation and engagement.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program/project management, preferably in the EdTech industry or related fields.
Technical Background: Strong technical background with experience in software development, web technologies, or related disciplines. Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and scalable systems is a plus.
Project Management Skills: Proven track record in successfully managing complex technical projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams and drive project success.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate through challenges and find creative solutions.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with changing priorities and requirements.
Remote Work: Demonstrated experience in remote work, including effective remote collaboration and team management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
