AI Linguist
Description:

We are seeking AI Linguists to join our diverse and interdisciplinary team to focus on AI quality, evaluation, and annotation and to contribute with their expertise to the annotation/human judgment pipeline development that lay at the foundation of the AI model development and improvement.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute on solutions for AI quality, evaluation, and annotation.
Leverage Generative AI prompting, human input, hybrid approaches in the development of scalable and high-quality human judgment workflows and datasets.
Conduct data-driven analysis and provide linguist insights for project development.
Be part of working groups that develops high-quality human judgment/annotation/evaluation pipelines and datasets.
Create documentation and guidelines for standard procedures of internal processes.
Research new methodologies for process and product improvement.
Maximize productivity, process efficiency and quality through streamlined workflows, process standardization, documentation, and project management.
Work in close collaboration with a talented team of AI Engineers and AI Linguists to tackle large-scale content understanding and recommendation problems.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and product partners.
Basic Qualifications:
B.S./B.A Degree in Computational Linguistics, Language Technologies, Linguistics, Speech Science or a related field.
1+ years relevant industry experience.
1+ years’ experience with large-scale, end-to-end human judgment flows and tools for the training/evaluation of AI models
2+ years’ experience to breakdown linguistic data requirements into concise, clear instructions and designs
1+ years’ experience programming in Python or any other scripting language
Preferred Qualifications:
MS or Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics, Language Technologies, Linguistics or a related field.
Strong problem solving, conceptual thinking, and communication skills
Willingness to learn technical concepts and new tools and a keen interest in technology
Experience with human judgment projects and flows
Experience with complex and scalable data annotations and evaluations
Experience with programming languages in data annotation spaceExcellent comprehension and written communication skills in English
Preferred working hours: 8:30 am PST - 5:30pm PST
