Summary
Allegro Microsystems, a world leader in the Magnetic Sensors IC, is currently seeking a hands-on Sr. Project/Program Manager to work in our Sensor Business Unit. This person will utilize IC product development experience, project management concepts and best-known methods & tools to develop highly integrated Analog & Mixed Signal IC products and to improve development processes & methodology. The ideal candidate will also provide technical leadership, communication, support, and training to both internal project teams and external support organizations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and team members to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new projects
Maintain schedule project timelines
Track project deliverables of in-flight projects using appropriate tools
Provide direction and support to the project team
Mentor project team members to foster and promote a positive team atmosphere
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from project kickoff through product introduction
Communicate project status to key stakeholders and manage expectations on project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources
Present reports defining project progress, risks, and solutions
Ensure that the project goals and objectives are achieved while following Allegro’s established development process
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in Semiconductor Industry
Understanding of IC product development flow is must (Analog and Mixed Signal ICs experience is preferred)
3+ years Project management experience is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful environment
Understands and listens to team members and fosters a productive team environment
Able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software: Smart Sheets, Sharepoint, MS Office, etc. in addition to experience working within shared work environments.
