Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of design-build projects, from initial concept through completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in both design and construction, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage design-build projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and complies with relevant regulations, codes, and specifications.
Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders, including progress reports, financial performance, and key milestones.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a design-build environment.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale design-build projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of design-build project delivery methods and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Procore, or equivalent.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America) certification is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
