Buckeye Partners is currently seeking Solution Architect, Enterprise Information Management with experience in Leverage analytics to solve the business’ toughest and emerging challenges with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision.

Role Summary:

The Solution Architect, Enterprise Information Management has the overall responsibility to establish information architecture strategy for data and Sets the direction and oversees the development and maintenance of the data platforms. Will work closely with leaders in implementing the overall EIM strategy for the Business Intelligence and Advance Analytics processes around data asset definitions, master data management, data governance policies, data productization and hybrid data platform technologies for the enterprise to enable the full realization of data as a strategic company asset. This individual should be a seasoned professional with proven technical experience and tenure in leading/managing change with a strong focus on data management, data analytics, data adoption and analytics development lifecycle management.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

Architecture. Establish information architecture strategy for the EIM team, sets the direction and oversees the development of the EIM data platform; Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and industry solutions.

Project Implementation. Responsible for project delivery of Buckeye’s applications. Responsible for delivering end-user requirements related to the new applications and ensuring design documents for the changes are maintained. Approve project plans developed by the project team and assist with Change Management. Ensure all deliverables and key controls are met. Scope, Schedule, and Budget are managed.

Collaborate with other Program teams, IT Business Partners, PMO, and external partners for any kind of risk mitigation and meeting project deliverables, schedules, and milestones.

System Maintenance. Oversee the maintenance of various applications, systems, and technology. Appropriately manage responses to reported issues, provide timely updates to affected areas of the business.

Technology Owner. Responsible for assigned applications, systems, services, and managing systems interfaces. Supervise work of direct reports of supported software and technology.

Internal Support. Maintains maintenance Roadmaps for supported technology.

Vendor Liaison. Maintain vendor relationships for enhancements or new vendor applications. Keep current on vendor roadmaps, releases, and issues.

Documentation. Owns responsibility for keeping process documentation up to date for supported technology.

On-Call Support. Schedules On-Call Support properly handles escalations and escalates to Sr. Manager as necessary.

Customer Service. Provide exceptional customer service.

Process Improvements. Implementation of departmental process improvement changes were necessary. May involve leading cross-functional departments.

People Management. Manage Leads and Analysts to assure their teams successfully manage roadmaps, budgets, and forecasts for assigned applications and system environments for appropriate business segments. Works with direct reports on mentoring soft, strategic, and technical skills. Provide technical knowledge to co-workers for problem solving.

Goal Development. Contribute to the development of team and departmental goals aligning with the organizational goals and mission.

Position Requirements: Education. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management of Information Technology, or Business preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

15 + years’ work experience in IT experience including leading projects, leading a team, setting priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives is required.

10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data warehousing and Business Intelligence tools and technology, focusing on complex business intelligence and data analytics projects is required.

8+ years of IT experience in leading projects, setting priorities and plans to meet business objectives.

Experience in Data Governance and Master Data Management Implementation.

Azure stack experience including databricks, Synapse, SQL DB and PowerBI, and knowledge of Azure Marketplace tools required.

Knowledge and experience in advanced concepts similar but not limited to DataLake, DeltaLake, Lakehouse, Data Collaboration, and Data Fabric required.

Experience of Agile and DevOps methods of delivering complex BI, advanced analytics, information management, or data warehousing projects and maintaining product lifecycle required.

Knowledge of streaming, sensor data and Throughput analytics preferred .

Certification for Microsoft Azure data analytics preferred.

Certification for Databricks is preferred.

The candidate must possess strong business acumen.

Experience with data science and predictive analytics preferred.

Experience in Oil & Gas Midstream Services preferred.

Has demonstrated people leadership qualities such as communicates clearly to senior leaders, influences team members, acts as a mentor to others on the team, and is respected by peers.

People management skills required for performance planning, professional development of staff, and making sound decisions to support departmental needs.
