Discover your exciting role The Manager Estimating is responsible for the management,supervision, coordination, and successful completion ofconceptual and detailed estimates for various complex projects.Directs the quantitative development of material, labor, andsubcontract take-offs, as well as the coordination ofinformation among Engineering, Procurement, Construction, andproject teams.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities Supervises and assure the quality and timeliness of allestimating and bidding activities
Assists and/or leads proposal preparation, presentation andsecuring new work
Develops the estimate plan and coordinates estimatedevelopment with the project team
Prepares Work Package Estimate breakdowns in conjunctionwith the project team
Leads the development of the total project estimate;detailed and/or conceptual
Prepares the total Project Basis of Estimate
Prepares the Estimate Risk Analysis and makes costcontingency recommendations
Analyzes and makes independent recommendations regardingsolutions to problems with varying complexity in accordancewith organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Supports preparation and Presentation of Project Estimatesto Executive and Client management Teams
Other duties as assigned
Show your expertise High School Diploma or GED required
10+ years of experience in the commercial constructionindustry
7+ years of competitive bid experience preferred
Experience in commercial estimating
Experience on Engineering, Procurement, Construction,Commissioning (EPCC) projects is required
Experience in Commercial building, Clean Room and ToolInstall construction desired
Experience with the following software applicationspreferred: Trimble GCEstimator (WinEst, Modelogix, Vico) andMicrosoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc)
Ability to prepare conceptual cost model estimates fromlimited information using local historic cost information
Understands the fundamental concepts of engineeringdrawings
Ability to effectively perform material take offs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional organization and coordination skills
Ability to travel to support both project and corporateneed
