Technology Designer Engineer

From holiday parties, summer boat days, and family outings to impactful community projects, we make every day count.Note: This role can be a remote role for the right candidate.Base pay range$80,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesTechnology design and engineering for KCL projects in accordance with KCL standards, client expectations, and system budgets.Systems design responsibilities include: Telecommunications/Structured CablingIntercommunications and Paging (K12-oriented)Classroom Audio Visual Systems with assistive listeningSecurity Management Systems (ACS/IDS)Video Management Systems (VMS)Door hardware coordination and parsing a CSI Division 08 specificationEditing/crafting Division 27 and Division 28 (CSI) specificationsBid/Construction activities and responsibilities include:Creation of addendaAnswering RFIs and requests for substitutionCreation of supplemental instructions and price requests to support formal design adjustmentsCreation of observation reports/punchlistsStrong communications and project management experienceIdentify and work with key stakeholders for the duration of each projectCollaborate with department, office, and company teams to produce design documents and provide consultation and construction administration for designed systemsMaintain focus on quality, schedule, and budget throughout project lifecyclesQualifications4-8 years of experience preferredRCDD is a plusPSP and/or CPP certification is a plusRequired Knowledge/Abilities: Firm understanding of Autodesk's Revit and AutoCAD platform for technology design activitiesThorough understanding of network impact and storage/retention solutionsExperience with BIM/Standards Development is a plusSpecial Conditions of EmploymentWork environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
