About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Construction & Exhibitry to provide leadership and oversight for capital construction projects across its various facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design activities of external professionals and serving as the executive liaison for capital projects funded by governmental agencies. This role requires a strategic approach to ensure that all projects adhere to the company's mission and standards, with a particular focus on the guest experience and animal welfare. The Vice President will also be tasked with budgeting and financial monitoring, as well as maintaining a professional work environment during construction to minimize impact on guests.Applicants must have a minimum of ten years of experience in the architecture, facility management, or construction industry, with at least five years in a leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, along with appropriate licensure. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record of inclusive leadership, involving a variety of stakeholders in project planning and execution. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to deliver formal and informal presentations to diverse audiences. The Vice President will also be expected to manage a department, including project directors for the company's different facilities, and should have a demonstrated commitment to team building and professional development.
