PRIMECH Recruiting is partnered with a mid-sized HVAC contractor that is seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to join their team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a background as an HVAC sheet metal installer, with at least 10 years in a superintendent role managing HVAC projects. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from $1-10 million in size. Projects include commercial construction installations, new construction, retrofits, tenant improvements, and equipment change-outs. Hydronic piping experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Supervise and mentor HVAC technicians and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
Ensure proper installation and functionality of HVAC systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an HVAC Superintendent, with a strong background in commercial construction.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from $1-10 million.
Extensive experience in new construction, retrofits, tenant improvements, and equipment change-outs.
Hydronic piping experience is a plus.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, installation processes, and applicable building codes and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
