Booking Specialist

Our Booking Specialist supports the core system boarding process for residential, consumer and commercial loans in compliance with Bank standards and policies and regulatory requirements.

If you are a detailed loan booking professional with exceptional customer service and data entry skills, we want to talk to you!

Primary Responsibilities

Interface new loans into core system and complete all required data entry fields.

Process loan modifications, renewals, and extensions.

Utilize core loan wizard to board loans purchased from, or participated with, third parties.

Perform core file maintenance, as necessary.

Analyze quality control feedback and ensure timely correction/maintenance of identified concerns, as appropriate.

Analyze and resolve routine operational challenges often requiring research and partnership with other business unit managers or subject matter experts.

Provide assistance to the Loan Servicing team, as volumes dictate.

Assist with the development and implementation of process/procedure. enhancements designed to improve operational efficiency, turn times, accuracy, and quality of work.

Complete special projects as assigned.

Maintain necessary controls to protect the integrity of the Bank’s resources and assets from fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.

Successful completion of required compliance related training within prescribed timelines.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Rigorous attention to detail with quality control-oriented mindset.

Strong oral and written communication skills required to interact with employees, peers, and senior management; make recommendations; prepare reports; and conduct presentations.

Tactical as well as strategic thinker; aptitude for problem solving.

Excellent organization, and delivery skills. Must be able to multi-task with frequent interruptions; be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline driven, changing environment.

Ability to remain flexible and withstand unpredictable changes to delivery deadlines.

Perform duties with a sense of urgency.

PC literate with proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Fiserv DNA.

Desired Experience and Education

High school diploma (or equivalent), college level course work preferred

2-3 years demonstrated experience in banking/financial institution loan operations environments

Strong knowledge of commercial, residential and consumer lending products

Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to loans

Knowledge of and experience with loan accounting principles and concepts
