About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director Safety Physician Leader to head a Clinical Safety and Risk Management team within the Infectious Disease Therapeutic Area. The successful candidate will be a seasoned safety professional with a medical degree and a minimum of 10 years' of experience in drug/vaccine safety or pharmacovigilance. Responsibilities include providing medical and scientific expertise in safety data evaluation, maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks, leading safety strategy, and managing safety programs throughout the vaccine lifecycle. The role demands a leader with strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and relationship-building skills, who can foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. Experience in vaccine development and a background in infectious disease are highly valued.The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a medical degree (MD, DO, or non-US equivalent) and a minimum of 10 years' of experience in drug/vaccine safety or pharmacovigilance. A background in infectious disease, epidemiology, or related fields is essential. The role requires an individual with expert-level competency in safety data interpretation, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and a proven track record of leadership in a matrix organization. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing safety programs, leading safety strategy, and ensuring the safety of the company's products. Strong communication, negotiation, and management skills are necessary, as is the ability to mentor a high-performing team and build collaborative relationships.
