Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to independently plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations, using standards of care and policy and procedure. The ideal candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients, assume teaching and leadership responsibilities, and participate in unit committee and quality improvement activities with minimal supervision. Responsibilities
Locate and document medical and nursing patient care information
Utilize appropriate interview techniques to obtain patient history
Deliver patient care and treatment using problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Evaluate outcomes of care to determine if patient needs were met
Maintain communication with patient family/significant other as patient progresses through continuum of care
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
One year of recent OR experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
Intermediate computer knowledge
