About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Civil Engineer to lead and manage civil engineering aspects of our data center projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity, functionality, and efficiency of our data center facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead the civil engineering design and development of data center projects from inception through completion.
Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, and detailed design documents to ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and project requirements.
Oversee site assessments, geotechnical investigations, and environmental impact studies to inform project planning and design.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and cohesive project delivery.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and sustainability.
Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule, making adjustments as necessary to achieve project objectives.
Ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Prepare and present technical reports, feasibility studies, and project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on data center or similar mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards, including structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering.
Proficiency in civil engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
