REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the Oregon state guidelines for QMHP, which includes meeting one of the following requirements... Completed Master's degree in behavioral science or one of the approved fields (you can find more information here)
Or a Bachelor's degree in nursing - BSN (and active Oregon State Nursing License) or Occupational Therapy
Experience with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) preferred.
CADC I is preferred, but not required.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
If in recovery, must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, client-centered, and trauma-informed integrated services.
Collect information regarding clients' history through a combination of interviewing, records review, and consultation; after obtaining written consent.
Conduct and document substance use disorder & mental health assessments, including mental status exam, ASAM level of care, DSM diagnosis, and clinical formulation.
Understanding of how medication support can be useful in the recovery process.
Develop a strengths-based treatment plan and collaborative problem-solving with clients.
Participate in direct treatment of clients by providing individual and group counseling.
Assess, triage, and respond to mental health and substance abuse crisis in the most effective, efficient, and safe manner possible.
Participate in evaluating clients for risk of harm and initiate Directors Custody transport holds when appropriate.
Utilize Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed treatment modalities to identify stages of change and develop corresponding stage-wise treatment strategies.
Maintain client records as required by State, Federal, local, and program standards and funding requirements.
