A Day in the Life
As an Intake Specialist at JBNC, your day starts with a warm welcome to clients, conducting initial assessments to understand their needs and eligibility. You’ll collect detailed information and maintain confidentiality, ensuring compliance with privacy policies. Your role involves not just providing information but also referring clients to suitable internal and external services, following up to ensure they receive the support they need. You'll work closely with various departments and external providers, staying updated on program changes and coordinating resources. Your advocacy for clients will be crucial in helping them navigate complex service systems. Throughout the day, you’ll document client interactions, manage data, and generate reports, all while participating in team meetings and community outreach activities to promote our programs and services.
You Would Thrive in This Position If...
You Have a Background in Social Services: You hold a degree in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field, or have 3-5 years of progressive experience.
You Excel in Customer Service: You’re a team player with strong customer service skills, capable of building effective relationships.
You’re a Problem Solver with Emotional Intelligence: You possess high-level interpersonal and problem-solving skills and can navigate sensitive issues with tact and empathy.
You’re Detail-Oriented and Tech-Savvy: You have a keen eye for detail and are comfortable using technology, including databases for tracking client information.
