The assistant director will work 60 ? 70 hours during theacademic year, prior to the Genesis program?s start in July. During thesummer, the Assistant Director will work directly under the supervisionof the Genesis Director. This is a residential position that requiresthe Assistant Director to live in the Genesis dormitories. Academic year(60 ? 70 hours starting June 1; can be done remotely for a portion oftime) The Assistant Director will: Create and/or update a guide forstudents outlining all aspects of religious life on campus during theprogram, including key words and definitions (eruv, kashrut etc)Kashrut/Eating and keeping kosher, prayer before/after meals; Shabbatobservance (variety of practices; what we do/don?t do); Tefillah (whatwe offer and when); Create a memo for the Program Director outliningrelevant questions and concerns to convey to the Sherman Dining staff(hours of operation, food provision, location of meal on Shabbat, etc.)Work with Hillel staff to ensure implementation of eruv.
