Job Description

Controls Technician – Building Automation SystemsImmediate opening for an experienced Controls Technician to support commercial building automation systems across the Boise region. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving complex problems, working directly with customers, and improving facility performance through smart building technologies.Location: Boise, IDPay: $28–$37/hr + Full Benefits (DOE)Why This Opportunity Stands OutCompetitive hourly pay: $28–$37/hrFull benefits package(medical, dental, vision, 401k)Paid vacation, holidays, and sick timeStable, long?term career path in a growing industryCollaborative team environment with strong safety cultureProfessional development, certifications, and technical training providedWhat You'll DoAs a Controls Technician, you will perform advanced service, troubleshooting, commissioning, and upgrades on commercial building automation systems (BAS).Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair complex electronic, digital, and networked control systemsPerform preventive maintenance, system commissioning, and software/graphics updatesProvide on?site customer support, ensuring high satisfaction and clear communicationAssist with job layouts, field sketches, documentation, and as?built updatesSupport sales teams with technical insights and field?based recommendationsTrain customers on system operation and provide ongoing technical guidanceCoordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and internal teamsParticipate in continuous learning to stay current with BAS technologiesQualificationsTroubleshooting experience (electro-mechanical systems, HVAC experience highly desirable but will consider applicants with other related technical experience)Technical degree, vocational program completion, military, or equivalent practical experienceAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and technical documentationEffective communication skills with both technical and non?technical customersStrong customer?service mindset and professional field presenceMilitary training and practical experience highly desired but not requiredWhat Success Looks LikeYou solve complex BAS issues efficientlyYou build strong customer relationshipsYou identify opportunities for system improvements and upgradesYou maintain a high standard of safety and documentationVeterans Are Encouraged to ApplySeveral MOS's have been very successful in this role including but not limited to: ET, EM, IC, 2AXXX, 3E6X1, Aviation Electronics Technicians, Electricians, Patriot System Maintainer, Aircraft Electrician
