**What You Will Be Doing**

This position will represent the F\-35 Tooling and Factory Transition team as the technical lead for Mate, Final Assembly and Delivery Ops\.

• Primary responsibilities include leading a team of manufacturing engineers through conceptual and design review phases for both new and redesign efforts associated with tooling and/or production aids used to build the F\-35, reviewing engineering changes to determine tooling impacts, developing tooling bids and achievable tooling schedules and ensuring schedule adherence, and collaborating with Facilities and Prod Ops to develop statements of work to implement factory transition projects\.

• Working heavily with the team to develop both technical and project management skillsets in areas such as 3D modeling, virtual simulations to prove tooling concepts, GD&T design review proficiency, and the build and execution of detailed transition project plans\.

• Strong communication skills are important for this position\.

• The successful candidate will communicate across multiple functions including Production Operations, Facilities Engineering, Industrial Engineering, SCM, Tool Designers and Tool Makers and be able to assemble and present status at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Experience with Project Management &/or leading teams

• CATIA V5 or similar modeling software

**Desired Skills:**

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical field

• F\-35/Aircraft Tooling experience

• Factory stand\-up and/or lay\-out experience

• Estimating and Procurement Process experience

• Capital Forecasting/Planning experience

**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
