The Aviation Records Specialist will perform duties and responsibilities as listed below in support of the company's Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. They will be expected to possess the experience and knowledge listed in the Minimum Qualification section below. The Aviation Records Specialist ensures documentation of maintenance and alterations performed by company personnel and vendors on aircraft are complete and correct in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. The Aviation Records Specialist will report directly to the Quality Assurance Records Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Responsible for the efficient and accurate collection, sorting, reviewing, analyzing, organizing, updating, filing, and maintaining of all aircraft records to include but not limited to; aircraft airframe/engine records, airframe/engine component records, aircraft logbooks, engine logbooks, FAA form 337s, ICAs, AAIP inspection checklists, 8130-3 forms, parts tags and all other associated aircraft records.
Perform routine data entry functions, creates, and prepares standard and recurring reports and obtains data from electronic systems as required.
Responsible for the efficient and accurate auditing of flight log information, maintenance actions, and FAA regulatory compliance in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual.
Generation of Aircraft Status Reports and Short-Term Due Lists; and distribution of reports to applicable personnel.
Responsible to report any discovered documentation discrepancies and assist with a resolution.
Work with Supply Chain to identify components that require historical information prior to being sent out for service.
Receive packages, sorts and files maintenance paperwork.
Track component changes to ensure receipt of proper documentation to complete records.
Maintain aircraft records archives.
Communicates effectively with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel, Field Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Control Specialist, and Flight Operations personnel to resolve issues of missing paperwork and corrections.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-5 years' experience working with aircraft maintenance and alterations documents preferred.
Experience maintaining aircraft maintenance records preferred.
Experience administering aircraft technical database programs such as CAMP, Flight Docs, RAMCO, and other aircraft records database programs preferred.

Possess a strong work ethic, customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with all levels of an organization
Must be proficient in a dynamic computerized working environment performing administrative tasks using Microsoft Office Suite programs, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based maintenance management programs
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Maintain an organized and functional work environment for records accessibility.
Credentials/Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent.
