_JOB TITLE:_ Senior Software Engineer

_JOB LOCATION:_ 208 S. Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

_DUTIES:_ Senior Software Engineer needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to be responsible for translating core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution consisting of platform, network, software, and cloud solutions. Utilize functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques. Perform software development throughout the vertical stack. Define designs. Provide technical enablement for application components and subsystems for applications. Drive important design decisions for development teams. Elaborate on design and interfaces of specific components including defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with solution context. Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the continuous delivery pipeline including participate in the planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and exploring alternatives. Develop new business features and capabilities. Work with portfolio stakeholders and solution and enterprise architects to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, and retrospectives. Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Execute a specific development methodology through the application of various programming languages. Use Java and J2EE, Servlets, JSP, Spring, Oracle, and React.js. Utilize JSON, Handlebar, jQuery, Ajax, Rest, KAFKA, and Soap. Perform dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Develop publish-subscribe messaging systems in DMAAP (KAFKA). Work on data modelling, table designs, and query integrations. Work on system of engagement architecture and integration with APIs exposing microservices including REST. Work on configuration management including configuring maps and playbooks, voltage encryption, and Kong gateways. Provide support and suggest improvements to application performance analysis and monitoring using Kibana, Quantum Metric, and App Dynamics. Generate reports using SPLUNK. Utilize Spring Boot and RESTful webservices to design domain models based on REST services.

_REQUIREMENTS:_ Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation performing software development throughout the vertical stack; defining designs; validating technology assumptions and evaluating implementation alternatives; establishing critical NFRs at the solution level and participating in the definition of others; creating and enabling the continuous delivery pipeline including participate in the planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and exploring alternatives; executing a specific development methodology through the application of various programming languages; using Java and J2EE, Servlets, JSP, Spring, Oracle, and React.js; utilizing JSON, Handlebar, jQuery, Ajax, Rest, KAFKA, and Soap; performing dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing; generating reports using SPLUNK; and utilizing Spring Boot and RESTful webservices to design domain models based on REST services.
