Position: Security Supervisor : 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Reports to: Director of Security and Safety
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt
Southall Farm and Inn is a premier resort destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way.
Responsibilities:
Supervises activities of security officers.
Performs security department shift briefing.
Performs security department training.
Supervises all entrances to property.
Ensures visitors and vendors sign-in/out logs and issuance of temporary passes to visitors and vendors.
Oversees access control activities at all facility employee entrances, ensures that only authorized individuals enter.
Supervises/Patrols front of house, back of house, exterior property, all auxiliary buildings, reporting any safety or security hazards, unacceptable behavior, or suspicious person to the team.
Prepares necessary maintenance requests for safety related maintenance requirements.
Supervises and monitors CCTV cameras, radio communications and fire controls.
Documents all security related issues and assistance provided in appropriate security reports.
Oversees lost and found activities in accordance with Southall Standard Operating Criteria.
Enforces hotel rules and regulations in accordance with Employee Handbook and Southall Standard Operating Criteria.
Interacts with guests in a courteous and professional manner.
Responds to all guest(s) and employee incidents, gathers information, secures the area if necessary to preserve evidence.
Investigates breeches in security and guest and employee accidents.
Questions witnesses to incidents, examines incident scenes, gathers evidence/data to assist in determination of cause and identification of areas where corrective actions are indicated.
Performs lock interrogations whenever necessary as part of departmental incident investigations.
Assists in safety and security inspections.
Answer department phone lines in prompt and courteous manner.
Manage team members that are assigned to your shift.
Approve or deny time off requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Schedule
Rotating 12-hour shifts
Weekend availability
Experience:
Previous security experience
Supervisor experience preferred
Hospitality experience
Current security officer license in the State of Tennessee
