MARKETING DIRECTOR, WESTERN REGION
The Marketing Director will work to assist senior team members in creating, implementing, and managing the marketing programs and initiatives for assigned new development projects in the Western Region. The Marketing Director will be involved in each stage of the projects to which they are assigned, from pre-development planning through the final phase of marketing and sales. This person will play a critical role in DE Development Marketing’s growth in Los Angeles and beyond, for both condominium and rental properties, and the assigned portfolio will include properties beyond the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with experience in taking the lead on marketing initiatives, liaising with third-party vendors, and ease with both high-level strategic thinking and detailed project management. The person should also be comfortable within a matrixed reporting structure including coordination with the New York City-based team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collaborate with senior team members to conceptualize marketing strategies for all assigned properties, creating launch marketing plans as well as ongoing marketing plans for in-sales properties
· Handle day-to-day coordination of all marketing initiatives for assigned projects, ensuring timely response on all deliverables, in support of senior team members
· Primary lead for all marketing third-party vendor hires, including preparation of RFPs in coordination with NYC-based team and client-facing leveling sheets, as well as day-to-day vendor management
· Oversee marketing project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and marketing calendar
· Collaborate on all creative outputs (including, but not limited to branding guidelines, creative campaigns, renderings, websites, and marketing collateral), offering input and compiling team feedback to deliver clear, cohesive directives to third-party vendors
· Provide general administrative support as needed, including copywriting, proofreading, document preparation, and file maintenance, including management/updating of marketing-related project files, documents, and folders (i.e. OneDrive)
· Coordinate meetings with clients and vendors; prepare meeting agendas and minutes, as needed
· Manage e-mail marketing campaigns, from conceptualization/planning to preparing content briefs, coordinating with creative agencies, reviewing creative, and arranging deployment with in-house teams
· Collaborate on social media and digital marketing assets: review content calendars, provide input and direction related to tone and voice, and coordinate with creative agencies and in-house teams for deployment as needed
· Provide event support from conceptualization through execution in support of project team
· Provide direction and shot lists to photographers and videographers, attending shoots as needed
· Coordinate ongoing initiatives with strategic partners for projects, where applicable
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 5 years of marketing experience required
· Experience in luxury real estate and/or comparable luxury industries (home, fashion) required
· Impeccable oral and written communication skills
· Solid knowledge of California real estate markets and sales processes
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
· Experience with InDesign, Canva and/or Adobe Pro preferred
· Experience with Google analytics and reporting
· Experience working in a CRM system is preferrable
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong working knowledge of relevant technology, digital marketing, and advertising
· Ability to multitask, work on multiple parallel paths, and juggle varying internal and external demands with professionalism and poise
· Interest in copywriting and ability to review documents and collateral for accuracy and grammar
· Exemplary written and editorial skills and an eye for graphic design
· Exceptional timeline management and communication skills, including ability to “issue-spot” and anticipate potential delays
· Keen attention to detail with the ability to think on both a micro and macro level as related to all aspects of each project’s marketing efforts
· Team player mindset with demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative environment
· Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of client relationship management
· Comfort with and interest in working within a fast-paced environment
