Business Intelligence Engineer, Global Data & Analytics Are you an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer interested in an opportunity to help drive Amazon’s flywheel and develop your A to Z business understanding? Amazon FinOps is looking for a highly skillful Business Intelligence Engineer to be part of the Global Data & Analytics Team (GDA). As an BIE expert at Amazon FinOps, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the world's largest data sets, influence the long term evolution of our data analytics capability and help build data driven operational strategies to adapt and be successful in ever changing business environments.

- Deliver key BI projects to support Compliance GDA team
- Optimize and organize data pipelines into the visualization environment (QuickSight); contribute to data design, data modelling and data extracts/transforms
- Review technical work of other team members, provide improvement advice
- Work in a genuinely global environment
Note: this is an office-based role with currently 3+ days of office presence a week
About the team
Global Data & Analytics (GDA) supports all decisions in AR and AP. GDA’s mission is to drive a world class Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay cycle by providing timely data, insights and predictions to our leadership and operations teams. In close cooperation with our stakeholders, we agree and build uniform metrics; use data from a ‘single source of truth’; provide automated, self-service, standard reporting; and build predictive analytics. Our goal is to actively contribute to the improvement of Amazon's Free Cash Flow, Customer Experience and process efficiency by value-adding analytics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
