About the Opportunity
Manages receiving, inspection and control of materials at various stages. Strategizes and recommends Inventory Control policies and programs.
In this role, the successful candidate will:
Manages receiving, inspection and control of materials at various stages of alloy production.
Ensures all Inventory movement and transactions are in the QAD system.
Reviews all transactions to ensure they are recorded correctly.
Manages the Precious Manufacturing Inventory Control operations toward the accomplishment of objectives.
Recommends department operating policies.
Supervises maintenance of all equipment used in the department.
Sets up and maintains inventory controls and levels to conform to budgets and forecasts.
Coordinates and collaborates with other departments in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
Supervises the day-to-day operations of Argen’s Precious Manufacturing Inventory Control Department.
Produces reports to facilitate continuous improvement efforts and improve employee performance in alignment with objectives.
Develops a high-performance work team that exceeds objectives in quality and throughput.
Motivates and coaches employees by assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
Delegates tasks and manages progress to ensure successful completion of department objectives.
Creates and reinforces a culture of teamwork and actively resolves conflicts within the team.
Manages proactively by holding regular 1on1s and team meetings to ensure open lines of communication and professional development for direct reports.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
Other duties as assigned.
What does it take to be successful?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of people management experience.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Problem solving capabilities.
Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience with an ERP computer program is a plus.
Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.
Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
