Job Description:
As a Senior Naval Ship Construction/Design Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and construction of naval ships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture, ship design, and construction management. This is a 6 month contract to hire and is remote, Secret clearance required.
Responsibilities: Lead the design and construction of naval ships, including surface combatants, submarines, and support vessels.
Collaborate with engineers, shipbuilders, and clients to develop design concepts and construction plans.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, classification society rules, and industry standards.
Conduct shipyard visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
Prepare and present design proposals, specifications, and reports to clients and stakeholders.
$100,000 - $180,000 a year
