Salesforce Inc. seeks Backend Software Engineer Slack in New York, NY:
Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Design and implement software solutions to synchronize data between server systems and Web, Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android clients. Develop large-scale backend infrastructure and distributed systems using industry best practices on cloud providers and mobile infrastructure work on mobile clients. Utilize knowledge and experience in React, JavaScript, Python, Java, and HTML. Break down complex tasks and requirements into actionable work. Review others' code for correctness and completeness. Develop expertise in functional areas of a complex software system such as user preferences, or API driven integrations with Salesforce and Quip. Collaborate cross-platform and full stack and maintain systems. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or related field, OR Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) UNIX; (3) Python; (4) HTML; (5) CSS; (6) MySQL; (7) JIRA; (8) Jenkins; (9) Kubernetes; and (10) AWS services (11) Docker. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

For Hawaii-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $169,229 to $232,000.
