Contract-to-Hire opportunity for a Data Architect experienced with AWS and Azure.
What You Can Expect
Your primary role will be to design data models, data destination solutions, and data integration. You are responsible to create and implement the blueprint for data infrastructure.
You will build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor for data architecture solutions as well as provide ongoing training to increase awareness and adoption of technology.
You will work closely with themarket data commercial application owners and the software developers to improve and optimize data architecture in support of application performance.
What You’ll Bring
Design and Implement Data Solutions:
Develop and manage data architectures using Azure, AWS, and SQL Server.
Create scalable and secure data models, databases, and data warehouses.
Data Integration:
Integrate data from various sources, including cloud platforms and on-premises systems.
Migrate data from legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions.
Data Warehousing and Timeseries:
Experience with data warehousing and the ability to work with timeseries data is required. The candidate should be able to design and manage large datasets over time, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities presented by timeseries data.
Data Modeling for Reporting:
Proficiency in data modeling specifically for reporting purposes is necessary. The candidate should be able to create models that effectively organize data for intuitive and insightful reporting.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Implement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and management.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Implement data encryption, access controls, and other security measures.
Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, data flows, and data management processes.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Extensive experience with Azure, AWS, and SQL Server.
Proven track record in data architecture, database design, and data management.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and database management systems (SQL Server).
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
Knowledge of Azure and AWS services.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C# and SQL.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Communication:
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
