Who We Are Looking For
State Street Global Advisors is seeking an experienced hands-on, dynamic and well connected Project Manager to join the Technology team to lead large data initiatives supporting the enterprise data platform and strategy.
As The Global Data Architecture Project Manager, You Will
Own end-to-end project management for assigned workstreams, including scope management, capacity planning, resource management, delivery timelines and risks/issues/dependencies management
Shape/define/get support for new programs and move these from the idea stage thru to execution in collaboration with Architects/Technical Leads
Actively manage the definition and delivery of target dates and project milestones so that deadlines are understood, met and projects remain on target
Coordinate cross-project activities working with multiple stakeholder groups, including application and business teams
Report issues, identify risks and challenges, manage and mitigate delays with project team and stakeholders. Drive issues and risks resolution, decision-making and path to green
Liaise between internal workstreams and stakeholder groups to drive consensus on project plans, status, and issues/risk tracking
Communicate project and program status updates to senior management and stakeholders on a regular basis and ad hoc as required
Liaise with project/program leads across the broader enterprise on related projects and build strong working relationships
Connect the dots in terms of workstream interdependencies and oversee relevant work that are outsourced to different divisions of State Street
Support PMO Lead effectively with annual and long-range planning, including demand management, budget management, project governance improvements, SDLC guidelines adherence, JIRA adoption, reporting and dependency management
Contribute to project cost planning and business case definition working with the PMO Lead and broader team, as needed. Provide supporting materials to help ensure adequate funding/resourcing for project success
Collaborate with PMO Lead and peer PMs to streamline practices and advance the PMO function maturity
These Skills Will Help You Succeed In This Role
10+ years of experience in project/program management driving enterprise level, high impact and cross-functional initiatives
10+ years of experience managing projects across cross-functional stakeholder groups, business units and global teams
Proven experience of managing complex and multi-workstream programs with collaboration across multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goal
Very strong communication, analytical, organizational and relationship building skills. Excellent initiative, planning and decision-making skills
Excellent influencing skills required, including at a senior level across stakeholder groups
Strong reporting and presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and high attention to detail
Experience working with global teams, including outsourced delivery teams
Thorough understanding and experience with project management techniques and methods (e.g. Agile, SCRUM)
Strong experience with MS Office tools, MS Project and JIRA
Experience in Banking and IT platform delivery
Experience supporting a PMO and advancing maturity, including building annual delivery roadmaps and long-range planning
Team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative and self-motivation
Ability to communicate at various levels from individual contributors to C-level
Ability to oversee multiple projects, meet aggressive timelines and have strong work ethic
Educational Requirements
BS/BA diploma in management, MS/MA is a plus

$100,000 - $167,500 Annual
