BrightKey is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Systems Engineer . The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for primarily for Windows Server management and engineering, infrastructure support, hardware setup and configuration, antivirus, anti-spyware and SPAM systems maintenance, disaster recovery, preventative maintenance, end-user application, desktop support, installation, and troubleshooting for computer systems and networks. The Senior Systems Engineer reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Schedule, Benefits, & Compensation: Location: Onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD (no remote option)
Compensation: $100-110k Salary Range
First shift, Monday through Friday:

Key Responsibilities: Windows Server maintenance, administration, management, engineering, builds and deployment.
Active Directory: define and implement Active Directory standards, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Microsoft Azure/365: Implement and maintain secure standards and best practices in our Microsoft 365/Azure tenant to allow for efficient, stable, and available cloud-based resources.
Maintain SSL certificates, Domain Name Registrations, DNS management, and Email Management protocols, including DKIM and SPF.
Internal applications: Implement, upgrade, and maintain software systems required for security operations, including SentinelOne, FortiEMS, vulnerability management, and backup and restore systems.
Help Desk: assist users with support-related requests for desktop and server applications and desktop and portable computing tools, such as laptops, tablets, phones, and others.
Infrastructure: Implement and maintain virtual servers, physical servers, Storage Area Networks, and Network-Attached Storage devices.
End-user systems: Help develop specifications, standards, and baselines for all systems; deploy and maintain computing devices and computer peripherals, including scanners, printers, copiers, etc.
Networking: Maintain routing and switching systems (ethernet and fiber) to ensure uninterrupted network communications.
Telephony: administer and maintain the telephone/voicemail systems to ensure clear communications with minimal downtime, including call routing, voicemail systems, IVR routing, reporting, and group and user management.
Qualifications:
Eight years of information technology experience in a corporate environment supporting a medium to large user base.
Proficiency in Windows Server OS 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 (maintenance, deployment, server builds)
Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory 2008 and above (domain management)
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Management (server management, builds, and deployment)
Proficiency in AWS and GCP (Google Cloud Platform) server & network management.
Proficiency in VMWare Virtualization Platform.
Proficiency in Fortinet network implementations and management.
Proficiency in managing day-to-day call center operations with RingCentral.
CCNA or Fortinet Certified Associate certification is preferred.
VMware Certified Professional certification is preferred.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
