SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our dynamic, small development team. You will be working on wagering applications and their supporting products for the parimutuel betting industry. Your role will involve ensuring the quality and reliability of the software through comprehensive testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzes systems to determine the optimal testing strategy
Writes and maintain documents and codes/programs to define and execute test cases
Designs, creates, executes and maintains test harnesses
Executes test cases
Performs manual quality assurance against the products and systems
Provides defect reports to Software and Systems teams as appropriate
Designs and implements QA test schedules and test matrices
Configures and maintains the software and hardware environments used for testing
Performs other related duties as assigned
SPECIFIC PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
Testing of wagering kiosks, including the wagering application, operating system images, and applications that support both the wagering application and operating system.
Testing of application configurations and usage to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Ensure the project aligns with industry standards for security and performance.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years experience as a QA Engineer
3+ years experience with Windows based applications
1+ years experience using testing tools
Clear understanding of web technologies such as HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, SOAP and Web Services and HTTP
Documentation experience with functional, load and stress testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must work well independently and as a team player
Valuable Industry Knowledge: We highly value existing industry knowledge and experience. Internal candidates with deep understanding and expertise in the parimutuel or wagering industry are strongly encouraged to apply, as this experience can be a significant asset to our team.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSING:
Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience
